The Kanban System

The kanban system, first introduced in the 1980s, has now been perfected in close dialogue with a number of customers. Despite optimized inventory levels, parts are always 100% available. Delivery is determined by actual demand, making capital available that would otherwise be tied up, and reducing administration expenses to a minimum. By arranging delivery directly to the production line, customers save on transportation within the company. Berrang exchanges empty containers several times a day if required. This supports customers in their day-to-day production processes and makes things easier and more affordable for them in areas that can by very costly in terms of manpower and money.

The Kitting Concept

Our refined kitting concept is a method of supplying collections of parts that meet the precise needs of specific orders. In close dialogue with our customers, we optimize the various small parts used in the production of a component. We then deliver all of these small parts as a single unit in an assembly kit. This means that customers receive all of the necessary parts for assembly or commissioning in a neat and compact form. Delivery can then be carried out using the familiar kanban system.

Order Management

To complement our logistics services, we offer a streamlined and secure contract maintenance system as the basis of our order management system. In the area of electronic ordering systems and data transfer, our services range from customized order catalogs to automatic billing and payment processes. Our aim is to standardize and automate as many processes as possible, generating the largest possible savings for our customers. Thanks to our partner portal, customers can access all the order processing information around the clock, seven days a week.
