On the one hand, the requirements of car manufacturing also shape the commercial vehicle industry, but on the other hand, customers in this sector are also confronted with the quantity issues seen in machine construction. Many vehicles are one of a kind or are manufactured in small numbers. Variant management is therefore the major challenge. A manufacturer of commercial vehicles ordered three different parts from us for the attachment of a truck swing step. The individual parts had to be assembled in a number of processes.

The swing step needs to be mounted securely to the truck, but it must also be flexible – and as straightforward and affordable as possible.
